It is always a great honor to be named prom queen. The stereotypical prom queen has been made fun of and even made scary, (think Carrie) for years. There is even a band called; I Killed the Prom Queen. You can take being prom queen seriously, sometimes too seriously, or you can have fun with it. You can also create a coup with a landslide vote to place your own Manchurian prom queen on the throne. However you look at it prom queen status is fleeting but ever so rewarding!
